Non Molestation Orders

These orders can prevent a range of behaviour and what is in the Order will depend on whatever difficulties you are facing. Typically the Order will state that your partner is not to use or threaten violence or encourage anyone else to do so. The Order may also state that the perpetrator should not come within a certain distance of your house or even that they should not contact you at all. Typically the Order will last for between 6 months and 1 year although in exceptional cases, the Order may be made for a longer period of time.
